About the Poets:
Born in 1977, Anthony Hawley grew up in New England and was educated at Columbia
University. He is the author of the chapbooks Afield (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2005)
and Vocative (Phylum Press, 2004), and his poems have appeared in various publications
including The Denver Quarterly, The New Republic, The Paris Review, 26, and Volt. He
currently lives in Nebraska with his wife and daughter and is on the faculty of the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln.. The Concerto Form (Shearsman Books, 2006) is his
first full-length collection.
Tanya Brolaski exposes the lives of celebrities in Letters to Hank Williams
(True West Press 2003), The Daily Usonian (Atticus/Finch 2004), Madame Bovary's
Diary (Cy Press 2005) and Swimming for Dummies (http://tanyabrolaski.blogspot.com).
She co-curates the Holloway Poetry Series at UC Berkeley, where she studies rhyme.
